Ingredients
  • 1 1/3 cups whole wheat flour sifted
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup honey
  • 3 eggs well beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups dates pitted and cut
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
  1. Sift together twice, the flour (made with the Lee Household Flour Mill), baking powder and salt.

  2. Mix honey, eggs and vanilla and beat well.

  3. Add sifted dry ingredients, plus dates and nuts.

  4. Spread in greased 13" x 9" pan.

  5. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

  6. Cool in pan. Cut in 3"x1" bars.
