Description

Get started on a path to Intelligent Healthful Living® with the Lee Household Flour Mill.

The world’s first electric household grain grinder, developed in the 1930s by Dr. Royal Lee, has been redesigned with a new look, larger motor, and broader milling capabilities. With a fresh take on its classic style, incorporating inventor Dr. Lee’s centrifugal governor and stationary millstone, the Lee Household Flour Mill reduces a variety of whole grains into nutritious, full-flavored flour.

The Lee Household Flour Mill is simple to use. Pour grain in the hopper, set your desired texture and turn it on. The stone mill efficiently reduces the entire grain kernel into nutritious, fine flour that does not require sifting. Featuring easy disassembly for cleaning, the high-grade stainless steel, aluminum and millstone parts can be removed, brushed or rinsed and reassembled in minutes.

Dr. Royal Lee, a prolific inventor and pioneer of holistic nutrition, developed the mill to make it possible for Americans to have nutritious, fresh, whole wheat flour for baking whenever they needed it. Along with a handful of other pioneers in the field of holistic nutrition, Dr. Lee considered the processed, bleached white flour being produced by the large flour companies of his day to be nutritionally inferior and potentially challenging to one’s health. He saw his mill as a way for Americans to live healthier lives through better nutrition.

I’ve tried many mills, and this is by far the best mill if you want super fine whole grain flour, with no need to sift out the extra bran.

I bought my mill in 1981 and I love it! I have never had any problems with it. It makes the finest flour, and cornmeal and cracked wheat cereal. It is used several time a week at least. It has been a wonderful mill and a great investment! Thank you for offering it again, my daughters will be getting one for Christmas! Thanks S.Taylor

My Mom’s flour mill is over 42 years in the family. It is a Model 600 going strong. Sister has it & I am thinking I need one to in these crazy post covid times

We bought a Lee mill approximately 50 years ago and are still using it! Although ours looks a little different, it is still does a great job. We are able to buy our wheat in bulk, making bread making a real joy.

I have over 20 years old 500 model, and i love it. It heats up and slows down with a burning smell. I need help fixing it. I need instructions to open motor and replace bushes. Please help.

I bought the green one around 2019. First of all, the customer service is awesome. The mill works great. The fine setting is what I use for soft and hard white wheat berries. I buy these berries in 25 lb bags.

Customer service told me the governor comes apart so you can clean the ball bearings and spring. Some say cleaning is a chore, but since when is cleaning not a chore ;-). You can also clean this mill easily, since the parts come apart effortlessly and you just brush them. Reassemble the parts after brushing. My cheat is to take the parts outside and blow the flour dust off with an air pump. Taking the parts outside, blowing them off, and putting them back together takes about 5 minutes.

Once again, thanks to customer service, I discovered that after large milling quantities, the machine automatically shuts off, which serves as a reminder to let it cool for about 15 minutes prior to using it again. A cleaning check can be conducted during this downtime.

As a final thought, do not skip the cleaning process, particularly disassembling the governor so that the ball bearings and springs can be cleaned. If you are milling for storage or small quantities for immediate use, the finished mill session is very satisfying.

My father knew Dr. Lee and my brother was named after him. My Dad used his vitamins in his medical practice and we ate homemade bread using his flour mill. That was back in 1950~s and up until we left home. I still have the mill and I am going to get it out and start using it again. The bread my Mother made was so hearty and filling that it combined with homemade butter was a meal in itself. Now I need to find a good source for whole wheat and rye berries.
