What Kind of Flour for the Standard Process Purification Diet

Types of Flour Allowed During Purification

The 21-day Standard Process Purification Program is a combination of cleanse, weight loss diet, and lifestyle change. People following the program lose weight, have more energy, sleep better, think more clearly, and experience a variety of other benefits.

During purification, only arrowroot flour, coconut flour, and quinoa flour are compatible with the diet. Before and after the 21-day program, your menu can include other types of flour:

  • Almond flour
  • Amaranth flour
  • Arrowroot flour
  • Brown rice flour
  • Buckwheat flour
  • Chestnut flour
  • Chickpea flour
  • Coconut flour
  • Millet flour
  • Oat flour
  • Potato flour
  • Quinoa flour
  • Sorghum flour
  • Sweet rice flour
  • Teff flour

What Can You Eat during SP Purification?

The menu includes a varied abundance of fresh vegetables and fruits for the first 10 days, with select proteins added on day 11. 

During purification, participants can eat and cook with a wide variety of foods, including:

  • Unlimited amount of fresh or frozen organic vegetables
  • Fresh or frozen organic fruits (eat twice as many servings of veggies as fruit)
  • Fresh herbs and spices
  • Certain legumes
  • Quinoa
  • Lean meat and fish (day 11 and on)
  • Raw seeds

Foods to Avoid on the SP Purification Program

During the cleanse, avoid these foods and other substances:

  • Stimulants like alcohol, caffeine, and tobacco (lessen use before starting the program to reduce possible headaches)
  • Nuts
  • Dairy products
  • Eggs
  • Grains
  • Processed or refined foods

After purification, these items can be reintroduced into the diet.
